These events are always a highlight of the calendar, providing a valuable opportunity for members to connect locally, hear from inspiring business leaders, and share their views on how the Society and Institute can best support them.
This year’s series, held in partnership with Danske Bank, reflected Chairman Mark Lawther’s theme of Supporting Innovation. Each venue featured a speaker from a prominent local business with an innovative story to tell, alongside insights from Danske Bank on the economic and business issues affecting members.
From Frank Warwick of Dougie’s Goodies in Ballymena, to John Harkin of Alchemy Technology in Derry~Londonderry, to Michael Montague of Tyrone Fabrication in Omagh, to Caroline Grant of Grant Fit Out in Newry, and finally to Conor McCandless of energystore in Belfast – each speaker highlighted the creativity, resilience and drive that is shaping business in Northern Ireland today.
Danske Bank representatives provided expert commentary at each event, ranging from markets and foreign exchange reviews to key issues such as sustainability, fraud prevention and diversity in the workplace.
With strong attendance at every venue, these free-of-charge sessions offered members the chance to enjoy breakfast or lunch, network with colleagues, and contribute their feedback directly to the Ulster Society leadership.
