CAB sub-Committee Update

Over the last few months, the CAB sub-committee have experienced a lot of change with Jason McIntosh stepping down as convener at the summer lunch.

9th September 2026

Jason led the sub-committee for many years and played a fantastic role in promoting the needs of members in business. We are delighted that Jason will continue to be a member of the sub-committee and wish to thank him for his commitment and dedication over recent years.

Neil Gamble has now taken over from Jason as convenor the subcommittee and at the same time we welcomed several new members, including Philip Slater, Rebecca Fulton, Colin Dowds and Bryan Rice. The new members are already bringing plenty of ideas forward and we look forward to working together to arrange events that are beneficial to members in business.

In recent weeks, the committee held a company visit to MJM Marine in Newry, Northern Ireland’s leading marine outfitting specialists. The event, which was hosted by their Chief Financial Officer, Chris Rogers, was extremely well attended and included many members who were attending their first CAB event which was great to see. Alongside a factory tour, members got to hear about the history of MJM Marine and how they are tackling issues as diverse as recruitment challenges, net zero strategies and artificial intelligence.

Between now and Christmas, the CAB sub-committee are planning a number of webinars to include cyber security and the evolving threat actor landscape, and artificial intelligence and how Northern Irish businesses are investing in this sector.

If there are topics that you would like the sub-committee to address, please do get in touch.
