Changes to our private medical insurance provider
Our existing provider, The PHC, will cease to provide cover to USCA members when your policy expires on 31st May 2025. From 1st June 2025, you will be offered a policy with AXA Health, a leading private medical insurance provider, recommended by our advisers, Towergate Employee Benefits. If you are an existing policy holder with The PHC and you wish to take up the AXA Health policy or take out a new medical insurance policy with another provider, it is important that you act before 1st June 2025.
If you have an existing policy with The PHC?
You should by now have received a letter from Towergate Employee Benefits inviting you to contact them to discuss your options. Towergate will also be contacting policyholders by telephone or email where available. If you are unable to speak with a member of Towergate Employee Benefits when they call, please ensure that you contact them directly before 1st June 2025. Towergate Employee Benefits will be able to advise you with regards to the new AXA Health policy and whether it meets your personal demands and needs. They will also discuss alternative insurers with you if you need this option.

If Renewal proposal from AXA Health
For members who have an existing policy with The PHC, AXA Health will write to you all with details of a new policy, including membership numbers, offering comparable policy benefits and excess to the previous PHC plan. Policies will not be automatically transferred to AXA Health and it is therefore imperative that you speak with our intermediary Towergate Employee Benefits who will advise you on the AXA Health policy and options with other insurers as necessary.
If you have a policy elsewhere or are considering taking out a new policy
