As the turmoil of the past two years seemingly settles, in the wake of the hoped-for upturn, most business leaders agree that one of the key factors which will determine the success of a business in the next 10 years will be the strength of the organisation's people stategy. But survival has been the priority in recent times, with many companies cutting headcount and significantly curtailing spend and investment, and leaders now admit they have paid insufficient attention to preparing people plans that are fit for the future, reports Mark Carter.
